Rhythm and Bowl, Ambience Mall

This is the Rhythm and Bowl at the Ambience Mall, Gugaon. A 40 minute drive from Connaught Place, Ambiance Mall is a haven in this suffocating heat. Rhythm and Blues is a bowling alley cum tattoo parlour. Though I chickened out of getting a tattoo, I did enjoy a bowling match with my brother, Akshat.

Happy Gudi Padwa (New Year)

Today is 'Gudi Padwa', the Marathi New Year. This day is celebrated on Shuddha Pratipada, the first day in the Hindu month of Chaitra (March-April). Festivities of Gudi Padwa lasts for three and a half days. The word 'padwa' means the end of one harvesting season and beginning of another. According to Brahma Purana, Gudi Padwa is the day on which universe was created by Lord Brahma and Satyug began.

The photograph is of the building of our new flat in Gurgaon. I thought ushering in the New Year with the photo of the new home would be a good idea.

A Happy Gudi Padwa (New Year) to all!

Delhi-Gurgaon Toll

The express highway is a fairly new phenomena in Delhi and I must say that drivers like me love the express highway where the speed seldom drops below the 60km/hr mark and the roads are as wide as possible.

Reading Wall

This is a reading wall at the Ambiance Mall, Gurgaon. This colourful wall is a hit with the children who come to play or even lie down and read here. Happy winters and reading from a Fogged out Delhi :-)

DLF Tower, Gurgaon

Fog is here and how. This is a snap I clicked yesterday evening in Gurgaon, just a few kilometres away from Delhi. The building just below the orange sun is the DLF tower, a short imitation of the Al-Burj of Dubai.
