After my one day stop in Jabalpur, I along with my brother, Akshat, took to the opposite direction and headed north to the hill station called Shimla. Here is Akshat on board the Shimla Toy Train.
Akshat and I had a fabulous time, getting our photos clicked, talking to strangers, site seeing and sipping coffee at cafes. Of all these things we enjoyed getting our photos clicked the most.
We did a lot of touristy stuff like getting a photo with a Yak
and dressing up in the native attire.
It was a much needed break and now I am back with a bang... So keep coming for Delhi photos on the blog. :-)

Hey Priyanka, the photos are a delight to watch and almost inspiring for us to rush to the hills.
Wish I could do it too but u know I have to save my holidays for the end of the year...
Just enjoy life the way you want and may god bless u with many more such endearing getaways.
nice pics. what's in the pot ??
You look beautiful.....have fun.
Namaste! Love the photo of the beautiful 26 year old village girl dressed up in her costume carrying her jug of water! Was "her" pet Yak friendly? I love India after spending 4 weeks in Bengaluru and a week in Delhi and Agra in Feb/March! Nice blog! All the best from EAGAN daily photo in Minnesota, USA
Love the photo of your brother hanging out of the window. I suppose you must have been hanging out of the window as well. By your expressions and your words, it's easy to see you had a lot of fun on this trip.
I'm glad you both had a fantastic time! Love that costume you were wearing and I've never seen a yak before. Magnificent animal (those horns are serious!). But didn't your mother tell you that you're not supposed to hang your heads outside the window of a moving vehicle?! ;D
Oh, and why is it called a toy train?
so u had a delighful time..superb...
Wonderful pictures. And I loved the shot on the train! Very cool! but I think the cute furry yak was my favourite!
So nice you and your brother had such a nice trip and time together.
