
Today, 18 May, is celebrated as
International Museum Day all over the world since 1977. To mark the
occasion, I have here a photo of the
National Gallery of Modern Art. Over the past few months, the paintings by legends like
Raja Ravi Verma,
M.F. Husain,
Amrita Sher-Gil, Tagore brothers- have been shifted to a new building. The new gallery has been designed keeping in mind the international design sensibilities.
I'll admit I liked the old setting in Jaipur House better, since it had a very regal appeal. but as long as the arts are being promoted and showcased I am a happy
Delhiite.
