This is the Agrasen Ki Baoli in sepia. As
Abe pointed out it is a 14th Century structure. The shape of the well is very interesting as it is quite different from the traditional round shape. You can read more about the baolis
here.
Steps of the well.
Galleries and chambers surrounding the well. These chambers used to become cool, quiet retreats for travelers during summers.
I liked this shot a lot. :-)

Thanx for the free tour :D
i found first one wonderful .....gr8 one
Namaste! Very interesting photos of an usual well! Can one climb down into the well? Need swimming suit?
It is much plainer today than when I saw it before. It looks really nice.
I don't know how to get the photos on my blog in the size I need or want without using Photobucket. Apparently you are the only soul on the planet not able to get blogs that use Photobucket. That is surely unique. I wonder what the reason is? Maybe one of the owners owns stock in another online photo company. ;)
I am glad that you read them though. Thanks for that.
wow Priyanka, great great 'well' and your photos give us a nice insight.
Agree with fatoori :) I must say you clicked them as a pro :)
I bet that it has its fair share of tales!
amazing structure!
Nice collection of photographs Pri. And to think that this centuries-old place is nestled close to Connaught Place, interesting!!
And good shot (though only two) of the JMI. As for the SRK connection, well, let us say, it was Jamia's loss and Bollywood's gain. Though, I'm sure I will hear a lot of sniggers for this one ;-))
Never mind.
