200th Post: Taj Mahal

Since I did not find many (or rather any takers) for a Delhi Picnic. Couple of colleagues and I decided to take a day break from Delhi and go off to Agra. This is our whole group in front of the Taj Mahal, a monument that Rabindranath Tagore described as 'a teardrop on the cheek of time'. One of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj promised to be everything one reads about it and then a lot more.

It is truly a masterpiece and being with friends was an added bonus.

Hope all of you had a great holiday as well.

The group interested me more than the Taj. I count five beautiful ladies and am not able to pick you out among them. Such beauty is hard to find these days. You are surrounded by it.

I left Delhi more than a decade ago. Initially, I would return more often, every year or so, but for last 5 or so yrs I have not been able to. I went thru your blog begining to end, seems like I got the 5 yrs back. Thanks. And I look forward to future posts.

Wish you, your family & friends and your readers a Happy 2009.

I was just going to say, I thought you were the one in the middle with the purple blouse on and then I noticed you answered oldmanlincoln's question.

Very nice looking group of young people. So glad you all had one another to spend the day together.
Happy New Year early.
