This is how I celebrated the festival of lights yesterday. This particular firework is called Anar. It shoots up like a fountain and looks beautiful without too much noise.
Since the Rangoli I made did not picture too well, I am posting the flower Rangoli that my next door neighbour made.
And no Indian festival is complete without ample sumptuous food. Here is a giant
Chakli that I spot from the shop I bought my load of food.
A Very Happy Diwali to all of you.
Thanks for the Diwali wishes Nitu and Ulotny.

Hi Priyanka,
Thanks for such nice and sumptuous (Chakli!!!! YUMMMYYY) pictures of Deepawali. I just wish that like yesterday, every day in the life of everybody in this world should be filled with light and laughter, sans the noise of course, which was deafening yesterday. Wonder what the authorities were doing despite tom-tomming about the ban on crackers???
anyways, the pictures were nice and rangoli was beautiful. thnx and SHUBH DEEPAWALI......
Wow, great pictures of Deepavali.
Happy Diwali.
I have been busy with Diwali preparations and could not visit any blogs this week. Thanks for your visits and comments.
Thanks for your wishes and your invitation priyanka. will do so next time when i am in delhi. And yes the rongoli reminded me how colorful and diversified our country is.
what a series of nice and unusual images for my eyes... :-)
What a glorious celebration
The Ragoli looks better than my Elmo cake. I do like the sound of Chakli.
Happy Diwali Priyanka!
