Sun and Shade

Before attacking one of my colleagues, who was determined to get a better photograph of this monkey, this primate was enjoying a bite and relishing the sun and shade in the garden of the YMCA building.

My Obsession!

I confess I am obsessed :-) Here is my collection of ear-rings. I love each and every one of these. Last evening I counted them and am proud to share that I have 75+ artificial ear-rings. I hope to double the number by the end of this year :D

I thought I'd share some out of the ordinary ones with you.

These beautiful green ones have been gifted by fellow blogger and one of my friends, Deepak. I love to flaunt these as none of my girl friends have similar ones.

Not talking

The quarrels of lovers are the renewal of love. Or so I have been told by these flowers blooming outside the YMCA building.

The night walked down the sky with the moon in her hand.

I stand alone

Spotted this beauty standing sans its owner at India Gate recently. Despite being all alone in the big, bad world she should proud and brave :-)

India in a cow

This installation at Dilli Haat is a representation of what the artist believes is everything Indian. There are some Hindu Gods, Bollywood actors and then the cow itself. Interesting and most certainly true!

Colours of Victory! Cricket World Cup 2011: India!

I am falling short of words and never before in my life have I wanted to talk more. A sweet, long awaited victory for Team India at the Cricket World Cup 2011 finals in Mumbai and Delhi erupted into a celebration that the city has never ever witnessed before. The whole city was on the roads celebrating the return of the Cup after 28 long years. Everywhere one turned one saw people proudly carrying the Indian Tri-Colour (Flag), dancing to bollywood numbers, cheering for the Men in Blue, greeting strangers with priceless smiles. We were not Delhiites last night. We were all Indians: Proud, Happy, Content :-)

Here is my photo-collection from last night's celebration on all the roads leading to India Gate!

All smiles

April Theme Day: Edges: On the Edge of Time

My friend, Richa, decided to take a break from her morning walk and exercise to sit on the edge of this small window at one of the monuments in the Lodi Gardens.

It seems as though she is sitting on the edge of time and any minute will time travel into the future she is dreaming about :-)

Happy April everyone!
