Theme Day: Sister Cities: Jaipur (Amer Fort)
Delhi has no twin city so far. But it is a combination of two cities - the Old Delhi and the New Delhi. Unfortunately, I did not manage a trip to the Old Delhi this time around. So I thought I should put up a picture of a city I think should be Delhi's twin city. This is the Amer Fort of Jaipur. Jaipur, I believe has a lot in common with Delhi to vie for the status of the twin city of the capital of India. Both the cities, Jaipur and Delhi, have a strong and varied history lasting several centuries and both have shown tremendous sings of progress in the last few decades.

Well done for some imaginative thinking.

That's a unique interpretation of the theme!
That's a grand fort, indeed!
Nice choice for the sister city theme. I agree that historically, Jaipur is the best choice for Delhi's sister city.
Nice photo of the fort.

It has been surprising to see how nany places don't have a sister city. It has though been interesting to see how those with out interpret the theme,or choose a city. So well done for a different viewpoint.
One day I’d like to visit this fort. How far away is Old Delhi from New Delhi?
Perhaps I'm imagining things, but I think this building was featured either in Jodhaa Akbar or Guru (both with Aishwarya Rai). Either way, excellent photo!
