Narrow Escape

A black day for Delhi today, as serial blasts rock the capital of India once again. This time the threat was very real and very near. I was 5 minutes away from reaching one of the targeted areas - Gaffar market. A stream of people running in panic warned me and my mother and we joined the running crowd trying to find an escape route. It was a close shave for us. However, this post is dedicated to all those who lost their lives and their families. It is high time that something, ANYTHING!!! is done to bring an end to this menace.

HEY...THANK GOD YOU ARE FINE!

YESTERDAY WAS ONE OF THE SADDEST OCCASSIONS THAT DELHI HAD TO WITNESS...WHEN WILL SOMETHING BE DONE TO STOP SUCH ACTS OF TERROR...OR WILL SOMETHING EVER BE DONE?!

KAROL BAGH BLAST SHOOK THE FOUNDATIONS OF MY HOUSE...AND FEAR ENGULFED ME LIKE IT HAD DONE NEVER BEFORE...I WAS FORTUNATE THAT MY FAMILY WAS AT HOME TAHT TIME...BUT MANY UNFORTUNATE ONES LOST EVERYTHING...i PRAY TO THE LORD ALMIGHTY FOR PEACE TO DECEND UPON THOSE WHO LOST THEIR NEAR AND DEAR ONES IN THIS BLAST...MAY LORD BE WITH THEM NOW AND FOREVER!

AND SINCERELY HOPE THAT PERPETUATORS OF SUCH HENIOUS ACTS BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE SOON!REALLY SOON!

thank god u guys were warned just in time..as soon as i heard that one bomb had also exploded in GK, initially not knowing whether it was GK 1 or 2, my first thoughts were about all my ex-colleagues at NLI..i thot bout u and then i thot that it was ur weekly off and u must be at home..but i realised much later that the area of ur residence was also targeted..this is how close terror came to us yesterday.
i thank god for keeping all my loved ones safe and also pray for peace for the souls of the victims and their kin.

Hi Priyanka, I'm glad to know you are safe. This was shocking news. My hubby's relatives are also in Dehli, but thank God,everyone I know is safe.
But it could have been us.

And they dare to e-mail and tell all that they have done it.

Is there anything we can do thru our blogs to create awareness among people? How about having a common day in a month to piut up something that says ' Fight Terrorism'.
You are a writer and will work out something nice.
Do let me know if you decide upon something. Maybe I'm over-reacting or waking up in time but we can't just sit and watch our country doom.

Take Care,
Regards,
Anu

hii Priyanka

as you can see that i am a new name here. you might never have seen me or heard of me. However, I am moved to see hw much you love Delhi!!
Yes, i can see your love for the 'dil' of hindustan.
I am a member of an NGO.
not a very big name but, we do ave great plans for our future India, and as well a better national capital. where we rise from being Ram, Shyam, Rahim, Imran, Gurpreet, Jasbeer, Joseph and George and come together to make our lives better.
Where we are all concerned about how to make things around us better. We have already started working in that direction. I can give you further details about our projects and area of work if you can provide me with your email id.
As for now, I was going through this blogger and found you. Nice writing to you.
I have written to you coz i feel that even you feel for the community the same way i do or other people at SANSKAARI (our NGO) do.
hope to hear from you soon..
