October Theme Day: Mystery object: Bubbles

I have been fascinated with soap bubbles since I was a kid. It was mandatory for my parents to buy me a pack of soap bubbles along with the straw (bubble maker) that were being sold at India Gate. Even at the age of 28 I still think that the bubbles are the best gift someone can give me at India Gate.

The reason I chose bubbles as my post for the theme day is because they are mysterious. They are never the same size. They create a unique magic with light every time. They are free and love their freedom and enjoy it to the max even in their short life.

October Theme Day: Graffiti: Soldiers of India

After the Allahabad High Court ruling yesterday on the allocation of the land in Ayodhaya, I thought this plack is the message that should be resounded across India.

It is in Hindi. It says, that India has four soldiers-Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians. On that note of unity, a happy October to everyone. May every religious confrontation across the world find a peaceful solution.

Valley of Dreams

I am sure that this place--the valley between these trees--where colourful dreams are made. Every evening, the dream weavers choose the choicest of colours and create masterpieces. It is up to us to make the dream come true or just enjoy the break the dream gives us from the grind of life.

The fact is that with Delhi skies turning beautiful in the evening are a clear signal that October is round the corner, bringing with it the romance of autumn :-)

October Theme Day: Contrast

I chose this particular photograph for today's theme, keeping the following definition of contrast in mind.

Contrast: The use of opposing elements, such as colors, forms, or lines, in proximity to produce an intensified effect in a work of art. 2. The difference in brightness between the light and dark areas of a picture, such as a photograph or video image.

You can see the North Block in the backdrop and the Rashtrapati Bhawan in the rear-view mirror.
