Agrasen Ki Baoli

As promised, I finally managed to go into the Agrasen Ki Baoli over this weekend. This is a historic well, nested between the multi-storey buildings of Connaught Place. This photo shows the contrast that had me completely mesmerized. It is so nice to know something new about a place, you have grown up in. Will post more photos from the Baoli in the days to come.

It was constructed in 14th century and I just learned that today. It is really a well. It just doesn't seem like a well because it isn't a round hole in the ground. This is a splendid well. Nice. I saw a nice article on it doing a Google Search.
