This is a view of Connaught Place atop a building. The market is a legacy of the Britishers to the Delhites. Its vintage architecture houses the most contemporary Indian and International brands. Its a must visit place for everyone coming to Delhi.

Poor-Man's Convertible
These are the best people I have ever met. They are smiling most of the times. Make travelling short distances a pleasure ride. Travelling on these cycle-rickshaws makes me feel like I am aboard a convertible... A poor-man's convertible is a cycle rickshaw. What a profound thought... hmmm hehehe. Next time you want a rickshaw please don't bargain with them. These men deserve every rupee they demand.

Circular spectacle
This is the AIMS flyover captured from a moving Blueline Bus (public transport) by yours truly. Everyday I go to office by crossing the flyover and every day the beauty and the engineering magnificence gets to me. The rash driving of the Blueline bus-drivers almost makes me feel like I am participating in a Formula 1 Racing event.

Books/Magazines on the Roadside
The Book-Magazine vendor who offers the treasures of the literati world on bargain prices. The assortment of books, magazines and second hand materials this man has in store can put book-shops to shame. Next time you are in Delhi hunt for these bargain book/magazine selling vendors that set stalls on the roadside.

Night Vision
Delhi at night. These photos are taken from the fifth floor of All India Radio's New Broadcasting House. The camera in my phone could not do justice to how beautiful the view looked - the Parliament, the North Block and numerous cars and buses going by. Hope this photo gives you an idea. The breeze blowing through my hair was an advantge that the photos could not capture.

Elephant Poop
This is a poster I spotted in Dilli Haat a few months back. I was stuck in traffic for an hour in the evening while coming back today. So I thought I should look in my photo bank to come up with today's entry. Hope it makes you realise the importance of S**T in life. :-)

Cars n Concrete
The concrete jungle with splashes of greenery here n there. This too is my Delhi. Its not just about flowers and colours and beautiful skies, the city works and moves and sadly enough progresses by killing the trees. Cars are increasing by the minute and spaces on roads decreasing at the same speed.

Tughlaq Road Round-About
The best thing about Delhi are her round-abouts. I have had a great time admiring them from cars/buses/autorickshaws. This time I thought I should walk across one and capture this round about at the Tughlaq cross-sections in its full bloom. The thing that saddens me is that the Metro work (though very essential) might walk all over this round-about very soon. That is probably the reason I took a detour to capture it forever and preserve it till eternity. Hopefully my children will like the photos and the story behind it one fine day.

Delhi Metro
Delhi Metro, a revolution in the city. I can say that it has not only transformed the transit system but also the attitudes of the people on board. It is boon. Thanks Mr. E. Sreedharam. :-)

India Gate
I was inspired by Eric and his blog Paris Daily Photo, to start this photo blog. I hope to capture Delhi in my own way through my cell phone camera and present to you my city, my Delhi :-)
This monument, India Gate, is a symbol of Delhi for me. I have fond memories of this place. If you are a Delhite, I am sure you have enjoyed ice-cream here. If you are not from Delhi but planning to visit the city, make sure you go to India Gate in the late evening and binge on tea, chaat (snacks) and candy floss. And don't forget to play with numerous balloons available there.
