I'm singing in the rain, just singing in the rain; What a wonderful feeling, I'm happy again.

Delhi has turned a beautiful shade of green. The weather is awesome and the rains have worked like magic to elevate the spirits of the city, which till last week was burning like hot coal. Here, I have captured the first drops of rain that fell on my city last evening.

Mini Train, Ansal Plaza

This mini train with a jeep for an engine operates in the open-air quadrangle. Fortunately, only children are allowed on the rides. If this was not the case I am sure the place would be full of crying children throwing a tantrum on the floor and laughing adults enjoying the ride.

Weirdass Ham-Ateur Nights

I was one of the few lucky people to have laughed out my guts at - Weirdass Ham-Ateur Nights this Friday night. Stand-up comedy is a relatively new concept in India and the man responsible for making people pay him money to hear him crack jokes about them and their city is the most talented Vir Das.

The entry fee of 300/- for a two hour show was easily the best money I have spent in a long time. The show gave a chance to 7 amateur stand-up comedians to make the audience laugh. The highlight was clearly, the 'laugh till the stomach, the jaw, the cheek, the mouth hurts' performance by India's first comic rock band - Alien Chutney. Cherry on the cake was a mind-blowing, innuendo-full, session of jokes by the awe-inspiring Vir Das himself. If you ever get a chance, you must not miss this show.

P.S: Met an awesome group of people at the show. Know most of them through twitter, you can follow them for their funny one-liners. Here goes the list: @thevirdas @sunainak, @nitinsgr, @s4sukhdeep, @nithinkd, @mojorojo. My twitter handle is @priyankakhot :-)

Ideas are like rabbits. You get a couple and learn how to handle them, and pretty soon you have a dozen.

The market association of Janpath recently came up with the idea of beautifying the market by setting up a cage for rabbits. I have over the last few months seen a lot of parents trying to entertain their children, who appear to be sick of shopping, in front of this cage. The good thing about this place is that the cage is kept well and is cleaned regularly.

June Theme Day: Funny Signs: Office Humour

I think this sign is a very funny one, especially when tacked up on the office board. Yours truly has a wicked sense of humour and has put up this sign on her work-station. :-) A Happy June to all :-)
