Photography - Getting Started by Ashok Kochhar

Three years after its opening, I visited the Kunzum Travel Cafe again today. I had fallen in love with the cozy little cafe in June 2010 and unfortunately did not return till today.

A friend informed me about a 4-session photography workshop titled, Photography - Getting Started, by Mr Ashok Kochhar at Kunzum. The Facebook events page showed other members of the ClickWalk group would be attending as well. I decided to brave the sun and headed to the Hauz Khas Village. The talk was interesting and catching up with fellow ClickWalkers was fun.

This new experience left me thinking a lot about what is my photography ideology. Hopefully, I'll learn new techniques of photography and also find a new facet of my personality in the course of the next three sessions of the workshop.

Here are some of the clicks from the day.

Kunzum Travel Cafe

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the opening of the Kunzum Travel Cafe. Came to know about the opening through my twitter timeline. Spread the word and one of my friends showed interest in going to the cafe, which is nestled in South Delhi's Hauz Khas Village.

The cafe opened its door to travel enthusiasts with a live gig by 'Beyond the Barriers’ – an alternative rock band. I heard the band play Bob Dylan's 'Knocking on Heaven's Door' and a composition of their own. The music was good and very much in-sync with the spirit of the cafe.
The walls of the cafe display a beautiful collection of travel photographs from various parts of India.
I especially liked the idea of the owner, Ajay Jain, to invite the visitors to give their own travel photos and he put them on the softboards placed in the cafe.

I brought home not only the memories of a well spent evening but also these three bookmarks (which the visitors were asked to take home for free). Enlarge the photograph below to read the various signboards, Ajay has clicked, on his trips to Leh-Ladakh.
